Sound Booth - My treated sound room is similar to most recording booths and not much to look at, but it provides an excellent recording environment for professional recording results and optimum sound floor quality. Pictured here is my editing work space where I prefer lots of sunlight while editing.
Software - In addition to using Reaper DAW, I also use plug-ins from the Reaper developer Cuckos library, and from professional audio companies such as Analog Obsession, iZotope, Tokyo Dawn Labs and Universal Audio that I manually configure for optimum sound precision.
About my background
My background comes a performance one. I have been on stage performing with Jeff Healey, Tommy Banks, Bobby Shew, Phil Nimmons, and Lew Soloff (Blood, Sweat and Tears') to name a few. I love the Rob McConnell and the Boss Brass big band sound, and I also perform as a jazz vocalist and bass singer in an acapella jazz group with awards for jazz trumpet and jazz vocalist. My local hero is Ron Paley as a jazz performer and educator, where I began my musical journey in earnest.

I have used my voice and performance background in education for 30+ years as a public school instrumental music educator. I am comfortable speaking in front of classrooms, and I am also comfortable speaking and performing in front of large audiences. As an educator, I have used my voice to instruct, entertain and manage students for 30+ years. I have used various recording equipment for 30+ years for multiple performances and venues. I am now shifting my focus more towards being home for family with my digital home studio, and creating sound recordings for others, although I am still a freelance jazz trumpet player and vocalist.
